Uprooted Music Revue's Favorite 50 Audio Releases of 2011

2011 has been a year that has been absolutely flooded with a staggering number of memorable releases. I can recall many instances throughout the year when I wish there were more hours in the day, as well as more money in my pocket, in order to give all of these records the time and attention they so rightfully deserved.

This list of my favorite 50 audio releases breaks down between 40 new releases, and 10 reissue/ archival recordings. With so many great albums released in 2011, I am very thankful for such an enriching year of music. I would like to celebrate and share these releases with you as 2011 winds down, and as we prepare to welcome another year of sure-to-be-great music that will begin to accompany our lives in 2012.

Cheers!
